… proof that I’ve been reading too many short answer questions and answers for the exams. Barely three weeks’ time. Oh joy.
Let’s see if I can keep this short then.
Exams are coming up soon. The same ones I sat for last year, and the same ones I crashed and burned in. Been trying to study for them, but the going’s been rather tough, and I’m lacking a lot of motivation. And a lot of time.
Will be on a short hiatus from the net, methinks. Too much distraction. Will be checking mail and logging onto IMs occasionally to maintain sanity, but… I’ll be a lot less present than I used to be.
Here’s hoping miracles happen. And that magic does exist…
National Day today. Usually spend it at home with the folks, and that’s more or less what I did in the daytime, but… friends asked me out to watch a movie, so I went along. Been a while since I’ve met Jan and Tess anyhow.
Second time I’ve watched Salt in as many days. Guess it has to be pretty good if it held my attention again for a second time.
It’s been a while since I’ve been to Sentosa proper, and even longer since I’ve actually went to any of the attractions there. Universal Studios doesn’t count… that’s sorta an entity on it’s own…
And it’s literally been years since I’ve been to the Underwater World. I have vague memories of going there in secondary school or JC or something, but that’s about it. Guess it piqued my interest then when the guys suggested they wanted to go.
Trying day at work yesterday, with a rather indecisive surgeon that couldn’t decide whether to do a case or not, and ended up wasting a lot of time. Wasn’t particularly pleasant.
Still, could’ve been worse. Decided to pop by Southbridge Jazz @ 7atenine, the relocated Jazz at Southbridge which has now gone to the Esplanade. I had heard the acoustics of the place kinda sucked after the move, but that they’d done some rectifying. Had been itching to give them another listen, since I hadn’t had a proper jazz fix for a long time.
First call on the kiddy side.
I know that people claim that these things can be the equivalent of trial by fire, but… last night was kinda a bit much. Plenty of people had told me that calls for the paediatric side tended to be quiet.
Quiet, my ass.
First day of a new posting. Standard hiccups and screwups, but otherwise it went pretty well. Especially since I was half dead from lack of sleep since I attended a friend’s birthday party.
Yes, the one with a Japanese wife whose cooking is absolutely killer.
Gods, I’m jealous of that guy…
New rotation starts Monday, this time with kiddy play time. Not sure how to feel about that one, but we shall see.
Managed to get the new K-On!! OP and ED from the second season. They sound a lot more solid than what the second season kicked off with, and a lot more fun… and surprisingly challenging to play, from the sounds of it. Bassline is nuts. XD Check the widget on the right for a listen.
Wondering what’s going to happen once K-On!! ends though. It’s been a fun ride so far, but it’s a 学園コメヂ, and those can never really be maintained for long. Here’s hoping that it’ll end on a high. And that the new animes in the following seasons can match it somehow, hopefully musically.
