Took out some of my Den-O SICs today for fun.
And after mucking around with them for a while, I decided to test some shots…
I need a better background or something… mebbe I need to make me one of those boxes outta white paper/card…
Imouto-chan had been feeling down for the last few days so, since I was post-call, and she had the day off today, we decided to have a nice breakfast out to take our minds off things that have been bothering us.
Seeing that Marmalade Pantry was opening a new branch in ION, we decided on that.
Call yesterday wasn’t too bad. Caught some sleep at least, probably more than I do at home, which always seems ironic to me, but what the hell.
Kiki and Riri finished their exams today. As a celebration, I brought them both to Jazz@Southbridge since both of em seemed keen to go to a jazz bar/lounge [their first time].
Jazz@Southbridge is one of the jazz lounges with more rep in Singapore, the other being Harry’s at Boat Quay. Unlike Harry’s, however, which is rather overly noisy, I’ve always preferred Jazz@Southbridge. It’s quieter, cosier, and more understated. And the resident band is more than decent as it is. Throw in their propensity to host events and invite foreign jazz talent, and I’m already a fan.
Exams are just over the horizon. Needless to say I’m feeling rather stressed, but… I’m studying and taking it as it comes.
Let’s just hope my brain’s up to the task… memory retention seems rather pathetic so far.
Seems to be a time of firsts for me.
Popped over to Ngee Ann Poly today after work to do some studying. Kiki has exams tomorrow and wanted a study buddy and since I needed to do some studying of my own…
Seems a pretty cool place actually. Architecture is kinda interesting, and the library seems kinda neat… even though they DO have a tendency to play sleazy sounding jazz on the main floor.
Met up with KY, Sean, Hiyu and Kie for lunch today at Bakerzin at Paragon today… the food was decent, but the service even slower than usual. >___< Was a little irritated at that, but… *shrugs*…
Went to China Square Central after that with em, where I managed, by some strange fluke of luck, to find a SIC Kamen Rider Taiga and a Den-O Ax Form miniature helmet. KY was looking for a Medicom Hibiki, but… no luck, sadly, even though we did go down to Plaza Singapura to check the stores on the top floor. Ah well.
First time ever at Natsu Matsuri. And with great company. X3
Didn’t know all that much about it except that it was in the Japanese School Changi Campus [known more affectionately as the Backside of Beyond], and that queues could be BAD.
… preplanning is important to ensure things go well, LOLZ. Even if it DOES tire the crap outta you…
Climax Heroes is surprisingly more fun than I anticipated. And slightly addictive.
Went over to KY’s place after dinner at Saizeriya with Hiyu, Sean and Elmo to try to beat the living crap out of one another in Climax Heroes. Kie joined us after class.
