It’s been a month. And I’ve been happier in this last month than I’ve been for a long, long time. Rather atypical way of celebrating a one month anniversary though.
Had been wracking my brains trying to figure out how exactly to do things, but I figured that since we already had to attend Rach and ZW’s wedding, as well as a party at her friend’s place, I’d just keep it simple.
Picked her up from her place to go to the wedding, and while she was worried she might be running late and offered to meet me at the venue, I figured there was no way in hell I’d wanna go in without her, and the recent debacle with the MRT just… worried me. The idea of her being stuck in a sardine can train for hours does NOT appeal in the slightest.
Everything worked out well in the end though. Picked her up and made it to the venue in good time, even though I kinda warned 妹ちゃん and Alex that we might be late.
Rach and ZW were, as expected, rather fascinated with the lady. As was 妹ちゃん and Alex (again.). And to some degree, Isabelle and Wayne? Then again, they be kinda quiet, so… hard to tell.
The view from The Pod on the 16th floor of the National Library building is… stunning. And the timing was great, even though we couldn’t really see the sunset. Watching the sky darken as the city lit up, arterials glowing and lights glinting like small stars, was… impressive.
She was surprised that I remembered it was our one month anniversary, but pleasantly. Looks like I’m probably the one who’ll keep track of the dates then… lolz. Not that I mind much. Somehow feel that Laurent Bernard chocolates and a quick kiss to the shoulder/neck isn’t really enough?
Then again, I’m quite sure that the idea of grabbing her chin and shoving my tongue into her mouth in front of Rach and ZW’s friends and relatives is a slightly suicidal one. Might give some people heart attacks. And given the very triggerhappy photog [pretty decent one though? 
], the moment might be captured for posterity…
Wouldn’t that be fun? /facepalm
Everyone seems to get along well enough, so… things look promising. Mebbe board/card game nights are a possibility in the near future then.
Went to her friend’s place after that for more food and a Christmas party. Her friends seem pretty fun too. Was interesting talking to Colin and Henry while the girls chatted. Even got to watch the first ep of the Kenshin anime again, which brings back fond memories…
… and I got a laptop cushion which can be used for… laptops, tablets, and writing. And eating even. Even comes with its own LED light, somewhat like the Kindle’s cover’s. Gifts exchanges be fun, lolz… shall contribute next year, if I can…
Woulda stayed longer, but being on call today, it didn’t seem like a good idea to push the remnants of me already flagging stamina. That and I was kinda yawning a bit in spite of me best efforts not to. /twitch.
It’s been an awesome first month so far. Hoping things stay this way.
